What is DHAT:
Philips has introduced great portable
audio player called HDDD060. But there is small limitation. Users of
this hardware must use Philips' Digital Media Manager to upload their
music to the player. And the worst thing is, that this software has lot
of disadvantages. I'm not gonna describe them, becaus those of you, who
own HDD060 do know, and this page is dedicated to owners of HDD060. So
I has decided to create some software for the player on my own and to
share it with everybody, who hates DMM as I do.
How it
works:
I wanted to spend as little effort
developing the tool as possible, that's why the tool is very simple.
It's command line tool which does not need any startup parameters and
any input from user. There are only two requirements:
- use DMM at least once before using DHAT
- start DHAT from your HDD060 using full path to the executabe
(Windows Explorer does it automaticaly).
When the DHAT is started, it gets ID3 Tags from all mp3 files stored in
HDD060 it was started from and updates the players database.
Known limitations:
- DHAT does not support WMA
- DHAT does not support genre from ID3 Tag (this is to be done)
- Full path of mp3 files in the player must be maximaly 255
characters long
